General Information

Market is open every Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm from March 20, 2010 to December 18, 2010

Our objective is to provide an outlet for local farmers and artisans to showcase and sell their locally produced items.

Guidelines & Rules of Operation

Vendors are asked to set up for operation by 9:00 am.

There is no requirement for a tent; however, Vendors are requested to dress tables & use tents or market umbrellas to create a “market atmosphere”.

Market does not provide tables, chairs or tents.

Permanent constructions of booths are NOT allowed and all display tables, ect., must be removed at the end of Market day, leaving area clean.

 

Samples of your product are allowed, however, Health Dept. regulations prohibit cooking/grilling items for sale at the Market site, unless Vendor has proper licenses including a mobile license for the City of Macon to do so.

In order to maintain objective of City Market on Poplar Street Green the following rules must be adhered to:

No sale of alcoholic beverages including “package to go” items is allowed.

No Catalog Sales are allowed

Flea market & yard sale items are strictly prohibited.

Space location cannot be guaranteed…this applies to Vendors who do not participate on a weekly basis; Vendors attending weekly will be given priority locations. 

Special events may require any Vendor to relocate from regular space.

For PR purposes & contact, ALL Vendors are required to fill out an information form before or at time of set up.

Note: Request for set up may be rejected based on items to be sold.
